Light aircraft are usually parked on the grass at the Western side of the airfield,
next to the Main Apron. The entrance to the terminal building is off the main apron, and
not easy to find. To book in, proceed through the rather old 'departure lounge' to the
briefing room. To pay landing fees you must come out of the briefing room, turn left and
through the security door, proceed out of the terminal building, turn left then right to
find a temporary building housing the Coventry Airport Administration.
Please Note: To return 'Air-side' you must go to Reed Aviation, opposite the main doors
inside the terminal building and show your pilot's licence to gain entry.
There is also the unique opportunity to see the flight deck and interior of the Vulcan Bomber together with an explanation of its role in the Falklands War.
The museum is about a 20 minute walk around the outside of the airfield. Leaving the main entrance of the airfield turn right passing a few local shops, then right again at the junction and follow the road until reaching the museum on the right-hand side.
