More than 40 aircraft on view. A unique collection of weaponry, uniforms, photographs, medals and memorabilia. Stunning and spectacular displays, including World Wars I and II; Kamikaze; Wrens; Korea; Falklands and Gulf Campaigns; and the evolution of the Harrier Jump Jet.
Hands-on access makes you part of the action and learning is easy. Stroll through Concorde 002 (the British prototype), or get the thrill of navy flying in the Super X Flight Simulator.
Relish the prospect of the ultimate Carrier Experience. The opportunity to stand on the vast flight deck of a magnificent navy aircraft carrier. Faithfully and uniquely simulated on land. Complete with 12 actual carrier-borne aircraft.
Absorb the sights, smells and sounds of it. Experience the dramatic launch of aircraft on a mission of mercy. Trace the history of these great ships right up to their vital role in the Falklands conflict, where the remarkable Sea Harrier won its spurs as a combat aircraft.
The museum is on the airfield. Allow 3 - 4 hours to see the museum.
Opening Times:
Every day of the year except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
From April - October 1000 to 1730 and November - March 1000 to 1630.
However, you may only fly into Yeovilton during Operational Hours, Monday - Friday after receiving prior permission. Visiting aircraft must depart before 1630 Monday - Thursday and before 1530 on Fridays.
